Opera North is England’s national opera company in the North and one of Europe’s leading arts organisations. This vibrant organisation actively challenges conventional perceptions of opera, breathing new life into the classics and advocating for lesser-known work. We also believe that engaging with the arts can have a lasting impact on individuals and communities and our award-winning Education programme enriches the lives of those who might not otherwise experience music.
It is an exciting time for our Fundraising Fellow to join the Development team of seven. An evaluation of the fundraising strategy and activity is creating a strong foundation from which the Company can build on its considerable success to date.
Through ambitious project targets and the support of the Development Director and those managing trusts and foundations, corporate relationships and individual giving, you will gain experience of the many facets of arts fundraising, including patrons and membership programmes, special events, preparing and submitting funding proposals and working with Trustees as appropriate.
Opera North’s programme of main-stage productions, music education activity and special projects provide a diverse and exciting opportunity to develop, test and prove your fundraising skills. Fundraising permeates the whole organisation from its base in Leeds and on tour. As a Fellow you will connect with internal departments and external supporters, partners and networks.
Opera North has a proven track record of developing and nurturing talent in early career professionals. We look forward to providing a challenging and varied skills development opportunity which allows you to make a lasting and measurable contribution to the sustainability and growth of the company.
