Arts Fundraising & Philanthropy

Unlock your fundraising potential

The Arts Fundraising & Philanthropy Programme is helping to transform fundraising across the arts and cultural sector.  You can read about the Programme’s success to date in its Evaluation reports.

The Programme is funded by Arts Council England and led by the Arts Fundraising & Philanthropy Consortium.  The founding Consortium partners were Opera North, the University of Leeds, Cause4 and the Arts Marketing Association (AMA).

The Programme, originally funded for three years from 2013 to 2016, was extended to continue until March 2018. Due to the success of the programme, we are delighted to be included as a National Portfolio Organisation 2018-22 Sector Support Organisation, with generous support from Arts Council England. Consortium partners are now Cause4, the AMA and The University of Leeds.

Arts Fundraising & Philanthropy mission is to strengthen arts and cultural organisations’ resilience and sustainability by transforming their fundraising knowledge, skills and levels of success.  Consortium members work together with a wide range of partners to deliver a Programme that empowers arts and cultural professionals across England to seize the considerable opportunities that fundraising offers them to form important relationships, develop new income streams and develop new commercial opportunities.

Working with trustees, leaders, senior managers and emerging talent the Programme is inspiring and resourcing people at all levels of the arts and cultural sector and ensuring the training and development of a professional fundraising workforce.
