“Coaching has been something quite special. It has given me the space and clarity to be bolder, to act rather than analyse and realise with confidence it’s ok to be kind to yourself in the process. A fantastic opportunity from the Arts Fundraising and Philanthropy Programme that I am glad I noticed and took and would recommend to others.” Katy Milne, Director of Arts and Creativity, Greenfield Arts
“A fantastic programme! The coaching has helped me find the understanding and tools I have been looking for. Highly recommended. If you are thinking about it but unsure – go for it. It will deliver for you.” Development Manager, London
The Coaching and Action Learning Programme supports people leading arts organisations or development teams. It aims to develop confident, resilient arts leaders and peer-to-peer leadership communities, who can share working practices and learn from each other.
What are the benefits?
Our Coaching and Action Learning programme provides opportunities for leaders to develop:
- capacity for critical reflection
- plans and vision
- areas for development and change
- problem solving and effective decision-making
- confidence and resilience
What does the programme entail?
- 7.5 hours of personal one-to-one Coaching sessions across a six month period – these will be conducted face-to-face, or by Skype or telephone as determined by you and your allocated coach
- a one day Action Learning Training Session together with other participants, led by one of our coach-trainers
- the opportunity to join an ongoing Action-Learning Set in your area
“My Coach has been so brilliant and made it safe to share. She has helped me find and articulate positive actions and ways to move forward. The sessions have given me confidence and have surprised me. I’ve been able to use this across so many areas of my working and personal life.” Katy Milne, Director of Arts and Creativity, Greenfield Arts
“Taking part in the Arts Fundraising and Philanthropy Coaching programme enabled me to take time to reflect and explore my individual approach to my role as a Development Manager. The process with my assigned coach Emma Haughton was smooth and enjoyable. In a busy world with pressures to develop much needed resources for the arts organisations we work for, it is important to take time to focus on yourself – give yourself time to recognise what makes you unique, human and ultimately what makes you valuable to the organisation you work for.” Ruth Bates, Development Manager, Foundation for Community Dance
