Taking an Innovative Approach to Fundraising
May 13, 2014 @ 11:00 am - 5:00 pm| £150 + VAT
As government funding for the arts continues to be squeezed, there is an increasing need and urgency for organisations to seek new income streams. How can your organisation stand out in this crowded marketplace and achieve competitive advantage?
Michelle Wright is an award-winning entrepreneur and fundraiser with particular experience in the arts sector. Michelle will demonstrate how organisations can achieve fundraising success through taking a fresh approach to strategy and partnership development.
There will also be an opportunity to troubleshoot issues from your own organisation, and to discuss solutions with the rest of the group. Participants are therefore encouraged to bring ideas, challenges and problems from their own workplaces to this session.
This energising and inspiring course focuses on innovative fundraising models, and how taking a new approach can yield impressive results.
“I found the session with Michelle inspiring and hugely informative. It was so helpful to have an overview of current trends plus lots of examples of what has worked for others. There is lots of training available in fundraising but I have found it hard to find specific training relevant to arts organisations. I came away with very practical ideas and new ways of thinking.” Carrie Carruthers, Development Manager, The Spark Arts for Children, April 2014
By the end of the course, participants will:
- Understand the importance of entrepreneurial thinking in successful fundraising
- Have the confidence and skills to consider new fundraising models and methods of working
- Return to their organisations with an enthusiasm to lead their team to achieve fundraising success
