Focus on training: Data & Audiences

Data & Audiences

30th September 2014

We’re now in the age of data-driven decision-making.  Data is at the heart of fundraising, from prospect research through to relationship-building, direct fundraising and evaluating our work.  Our Data & Audiences training courses will help you to develop a robust data set which is relevant to your work, and to get the most from this resource.

London and South West Year 1 Fellows – final group meeting

Sir Peter Bazalgette

26th September 2014

We are having our final group meeting for London and South West Fellows today. We want to thank you for all of the dedication, commitment, new ideas and sheer energy you have brought to the Fellowships. You have all contributed to making this programme such a success.

As well as our own thanks, below is a personal note from Sir Peter Bazalgette to you all.

——————–
Dear Year One Arts Fundraising Fellows,

I’m writing to thank you for all of your hard work, dedication to learning, and commitment to the Fellowships programme over the past year. I have followed your progress with a great deal of interest, and been struck by how much your own journeys have inspired others within the arts to become more involved in fundraising.

I know that you have received excellent support from your host organisations, who have led the way in demonstrating the importance of investing in the training of fundraising staff. I believe that the value you have given them back in return, both in terms of your fantastic fundraising success, and also the huge amount of capacity-building work you have undertaken, will help them to be stronger organisations in the future.

I am particularly pleased that your year’s activity will be formally accredited by the University of Leeds, through the first ever work-based Postgraduate Certificate in Arts Fundraising & Philanthropy. This academic endorsement gives added credibility and recognition to your important work.

You now have the chance to take on essential roles in the arts sector and I’m sure you will give back to the sector far more than you have received to date in terms of training and support. You have been an absolute credit to the Arts Fellowships programme, and I hope you will remain ambassadors for arts fundraising throughout your careers.

With very best wishes for the future,

Peter Bazalgette
Chair, Arts Council England

Focus on training: Partnerships & Collaboration

Support for Leaders

25th September 2014

Fundraising can feel daunting, particularly developing relationships with donors and ‘making the ask’. Our Partnerships & Collaboration training will help give you the skills and confidence to develop stronger, long-term donor relationships, and wider partnerships.

Focus on training: Funders & Networks

22nd September 2014

Fundraising from trusts, foundations and statutory funders is essential in the arts sector. Our Funders & Networks training will help improve your application-writing skills and increase your confidence in presenting your case to funders and donors.

Focus on training: Trustee Leadership

Data & Audiences

12th September 2014

Trustees play an essential role in fundraising. Trustees who actively support their organisation’s fundraising strategy will significantly increase its potential for success. Our half-day course in Trustee Leadership in Arts Fundraising & Philanthropy offers practical guidance and tips to executive team members and Trustees on how to utilise fundraising and philanthropy as important tools within your organisation’s fundraising and income generation strategy.

Focus on training: Strategy & Innovation

9th September 2014

Short-term fundraising challenges can lead to a loss of focus on what would be the best fundraising approach for you and your organisation. Our Strategy & Innovation training courses will help you develop and successfully implement a robust, creative, longer-term fundraising strategy.
