Tate Liverpool is one of the UK’s most visited galleries of modern and contemporary art outside London with 600,000 visitors every year. An international gallery in a regional setting, Tate Liverpool shows the Tate Collection of modern and contemporary art in new and innovative ways, alongside ambitious temporary exhibitions.
You will be joining a successful and enterprising Development team. Tate Liverpool fundraises over £400,000 from individuals, charitable foundations and companies annually and won the Hollis Arts Sponsorship Award in 2013 for its partnership with Sky Arts on Sky Arts Ignition Series: Doug Aitken – The Source.
As the Dare Fundraising Academy fellow, you will have the opportunity to work with the Development team to gain hands-on experience in all areas of fundraising and contribute to two specific projects. Firstly, you will work closely with the Head of Development to build the gallery’s individual giving, undertaking research into both current and prospective supporters and helping to develop cultivation strategies and steward donors’ support. Secondly, you will gain valuable experience in corporate fundraising by working with the Development team to maximize opportunities for corporate support around the International Festival of Business, which takes place in Liverpool in June and July 2014.
DaDa Fest (Disability and Deaf Arts) is one of Tate Liverpool’s partners and collaborators in our Learning programme. Towards the end of your fellowship at Tate Liverpool, you will have the opportunity to work with DaDa Fest and put into practice the skills and experience you have developed to support them in their fundraising ambitions.
