The Culture Change programme is a tailored training and consultancy package led by Michelle Wright, CEO of Cause4. It is for arts and cultural organisations in England undergoing substantial change, to inspire improved leadership and team working towards the shared goal of increasing fundraising and income generation.
Michelle Wright will work with organisations on a one-to-one basis, helping leadership teams and staff reflect on their internal culture and ways of doing things, and by so doing refresh their brand and status with external partners and the wider sector. It will inspire organisational leaders to seek out new income generating opportunities and partnerships with confidence, and will give staff new opportunities to re-connect with the organisation.
Michelle Wright said: “Creating an effective and intentional culture in organisations, requires one key ingredient: time. Our arts organisations have some of the most creative employees in the world, but we often don’t take time to harness those skills. Whilst communication and vision are important, we can’t short-cut the fact that creating culture takes both time and investment, and you have to work at it every day. We also have to remember that existing organisational cultures are very hard to break, and that takes a massive amount of effort and energy.
This new programme funded by Arts Council England, will give arts organisations the time to invest in building a culture that can support their operation to not only increase its fundraising and income generation, but also to develop resilience i.e. staying power that will support them to sustain and grow income through these uncertain economic times”.
