For the last 17 years, Wiltshire Music Centre has been providing outstanding programmes of live professional concerts across classical, folk, jazz and world music as well as an international quality venue for young people to rehearse and perform music.

The Centre attracts international performers such as the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, violinist Nicola Benedetti, jazz singers Jacqui Dankworth and Stacey Kent, guitarist John Williams, folk artist Kathryn Tickell, tenor Mark Padmore, pianist Stephen Osborne and jazz legend Courtney Pine.  The artistic programme presents approximately 100 concerts a year, involving more than 1,000 professional, community and young musicians.   We have also recently diversified into live streamed opera and ballet from the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden and the English National Opera.  The Centre provides a permanent home for a range of local orchestras, choirs and other music groups and works extensively with local schools.  Over 700 local young musicians rehearse here weekly, and regularly perform to packed, receptive audiences.

Over the next 3 years Wiltshire Music Centre aims to increase fundraised income as a proportion of total income to around 27% to replace steadily reducing public funding.  Our Fundraising Fellow will be supported to work across all areas of fundraising to help us to continue our growth in individual donations, corporate sponsorship and trust and foundation gifts.  The strategy is to maintain income growth and diversification in support of the key fundraising needs for the core concert programme and our diverse Creative Learning Programme.  We are a small and creative team, always looking for new ways to develop fundraising and our Fundraising Fellow will have the opportunity to take a full part in generating and implementing new ideas.
