Essentials in Corporate Fundraising

This course provides an introduction to developing a successful corporate fundraising programme. The learning is relevant for individuals and organisations from the arts, culture and heritage sectors that are public facing and want to raise funds from all scales of business from local companies to national brands.

This course will be delivered virtually via Zoom in two 3-hour sessions, taking place on Wednesday 3 December 2025 from 10am-1pm and Wednesday 10 December 2025 from 10am-1pm. It is necessary to attend both sessions to complete the full training.

Who is this for?

This course is for people who want to understand more about how to raise money from corporates. The course is excellent as an induction tool for new fundraisers and those with little to no experience in corporate fundraising.

You will learn:

  • The different ways to engage companies as part of your fundraising portfolio
  • What companies are interested in when it comes to sponsorship or corporate social responsibility (CSR)
  • The language skills required to attract and sell to businesses
  • How to identify your assets and create a vibrant proposal
  • Further resources to generate ideas

Price

This course is priced at £75+VAT in total for both sessions.

A concession rate of £50+VAT is available to Freelancers, Sector Partner Members, Charities and Arts Organisations with an annual turnover of £500,000 or less. To access the concession rate, please email [email protected] and let us know if you are a sector partner, freelancer, or a charity with an income under £500,000.

Testimonials from previous course participants

“It helped me to think and realise I can do this! I loved meeting others on the course. All every sound and supportive people. This was particularly welcome for me, because in order to survive my organisation has scaled back so much we all work remotely from home and only meet once a month. I am the only person who ‘does’ fundraising in our small 5-person team and sometimes I just feel so alone. It was brilliant to hear and feel the support of others and to learn some of their wisdom.”
