Trustee Leadership Programme – Arts, Culture and Heritage
This course will support participants to find out about the key responsibilities, financial obligations, and fundraising expectations for Trustees. It is a one-stop shop to equip you with everything you need to know before becoming a charity Trustee.
This award-winning Trustee course now trains over 500 Trustees a year and gives professionals the skills and confidence to join a charity as a board member. An enriching career development opportunity offered across two online sessions, the course covers the key responsibilities of Trustees and other regulatory issues alongside real-world insights from experts from across the charity sector.
This course will be delivered virtually via Zoom in two 3-hour sessions, taking place on Wednesday 5 November 2025 from 10am-1pm and Wednesday 12 November 2025 from 10am-1pm. It is necessary to attend both sessions to complete the full training.
Who is this for?
This course is aimed at those individuals looking to be a Trustee of an arts, culture or heritage organisation or for those Trustees looking to further their knowledge.
You will learn:
- An overview of governance and the charity sector
- Governance models and strategic planning
- Financial management requirements
- Trustee responsibility for fundraising and income generation
The programme also includes bespoke matching support, where we use your interests, skillset and location preferences to find relevant Trustee vacancies from our network, helping participants on each programme to join Boards as Trustees.
The sessions give participants extensive time for Q&A, allowing for specific queries about governance and trusteeship to be addressed.
