Liam Smyth
The UK National Commission for UNESCO is a constitutional part of the UK’s membership of UNESCO (the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization). Liam manages its National Lottery Heritage Fund project, ‘Local to Global’, which aims to build a more resilient network of UNESCO-designated sites in the UK. Its network of 58 Biosphere Reserves, Creative Cities, Global Geoparks and World Heritage Sites cover over 13% of the UK’s landmass and 164 parliamentary constituencies.
