Where are they now?

Lynda Jackson is Museum Manager at the Judges Lodgings in Lancaster, which recently reopened to the public after a two year closure. She has 17 years experience in museums across the north of England in exhibition, collections and management roles. Since graduating from Birmingham and Newcastle Universities, Lynda has worked at the Peoples History Museum, Seven Stories (Centre for Children’s Books), the Museum of Liverpool, the Royal Armouries (Leeds) and the Museum of Wigan Life. Lynda was previously a museum mentor at Lancashire Mining Museum and has completed the AMA and the NLCF Leading Learning Programme.

Lynda comes from a social history curatorial background and is interested in helping museums become more resilient and find new sources of income in challenging times. When not working or visiting museums,  Lynda is a busy mum to 1 year old Evie and a very slow park runner.

The quality of teaching and the external speakers on the course was outstanding. The Fellowship really has changed my approach to fundraising and given me techniques that I have applied to other areas of my work especially around project management and teams. I have also found the support from other Fellows to be a really important part of the experience.
