Northstowe is a new town being built in Cambridgeshire, between the villages of Longstanton, Oakington and Willingham, and just along the Busway from Cambridge or St Ives. Still in its infancy, 25,000 people will eventually call it “home” – and its town centre will draw visitors and workers in from across the region. Northstowe Arts was set up in 2021 by three local residents – Mari, Paula and Nazanin – after having lots of conversations with members of the community and realising there was a huge potential for creativity to support community development.

"Particularly coming through the pandemic, with so many new residents having moved in but no opportunity to get to know their neighbours, the arts and creativity (in all their forms!) were much needed to bring people together again and create a sense of belonging."
