The Arts Fundraising programme has been operating since 2012 and is delivered through a consortium led Cause4 and the School of Performance and Cultural Industries at the University of Leeds. Over the last ten years, the programme has been devised through consultation with active fundraisers. The current governance structure has mainly been led by independent nominees of partner organisations.
We are now keen to bring the expertise of three active fundraisers in to strengthen the programme’s governance structure to ensure that the content remains fresh, responsive and relevant to the needs of arts fundraisers and those leading fundraising within arts, culture and heritage organisations.
As part of our new funding agreement with Arts Council England, this Board will be required to provide healthy challenge to the programme team in the development of content; monitor the performance and financial management of the Consortium; provide some independent assessment of the programme’s progress to our principal funder; have responsibility for the oversight of our Investment Principle Support Organisation funding agreement; meet and communicate directly with Arts Council England if required and ensure that the four investment principles are embedded into the culture and working practices of Cause4.
The closing date for proposals is Friday 31 March 2023 (midday).
