Reboot & Regroup

Reboot & Regroup

A brand new programme of virtual support for arts fundraisers whose jobs have been affected by the global health crisis.

NOW EXTENDED THROUGH TO SEPTEMBER

Covid-19 has dramatically changed the arts, culture and heritage sector, as well as the UK workforce more broadly. Within the arts sector a myriad of organisations are either mid redundancy consultation or are facing significant ongoing challenges.

In response, Arts Fundraising & Philanthropy is pleased to pilot a new free support programme for those needing to unexpectedly change roles or adapt skills, who have been working in arts, culture or heritage organisations across England.

We will work with arts fundraisers who are furloughed, at risk of, or have been made redundant and will provide support as well as professional development. Places will be allocated to give an even spread across the English regions, art forms and scale of organisation.

The Reboot and Regroup programme aims to provide participants with a highly confidential peer network to support resilience through this uniquely challenging time. The programme is a time-restricted membership up to the end of March 2021. It is a free membership model where individuals sign up and receive the following benefits:

  • Pre-recorded sessions on skills, interviews with senior fundraisers and monthly discussion groups via Zoom
  • Access to a confidential, dedicated Slack page with curated content and the ability to connect with each other, moderated by Cause4
  • Dedicated access to sector intelligence, thought pieces, updates on funders, signposting to job roles
  • A free Be A Trustee course for those who wish to focus their skills on a new voluntary cause, and incorporation into the Trustee Leadership Programmes’ matching service/alumni support
  • CV and job application writing and interview workshops

Members will also be able to apply for specific support throughout the rest of the Arts Fundraising & Philanthropy programme in 2020/21 including:

  • 100 bursary places of £10 courses on our 2020/21 training programme for those fundraisers that have been made redundant
  • A dedicated round of network funding supporting professional development activity and peer learning with grants of up to £500
  • 10 one-off coaching sessions delivered by Cause4 Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Michelle Wright or Director of Strategy and Programmes, David Johnson
  • Support with the review of fundraising applications via the University of Leeds Cultural Institute (eligible organisations)
  • Where appropriate, a Between Jobs Membership with the Arts Marketing Association

To apply to be part of the Reboot & Regroup Programme, please fill in this short application form about how you hope the programme will help you take the next steps in your career. This is a programme specifically for arts fundraisers who have found themselves furloughed, at risk of, or been made redundant by the crisis. If you do not fit that criteria unfortunately we may not be able to offer you a place on this programme.

Places will be awarded on a rolling basis until September 2021. There is no cap on the number of places which will be awarded.
